The radiative jet function at subleading power
Speaker:June-Haak Ee
Abstract:In this talk, I will present a brief introduction of the subleading power factorization in SCET, and specifically discuss the radiative jet functions which accounts for the collinear parts of the subleading power factorization formula. While the renormalization of the radiative jet function is an essential ingredient in the resummation of large logarithms for precise theory predictions, no direct calculation of the RG kernel for the radiative jet function has been known before. I will show that the correct renormalization needs subtraction of the doublely-counted soft contributions from its definition. This is a novel instance in which this zero-bin subtraction leads to a nonlocality in the renormalization of a subtracted quantity that is not present in the renormalization of the unsubtracted quantity, and I expect that the same pattern would emerges for other radiative jet functions in subleading power factorization formula.
