The advent of gravitational-wave astronomy has opened a new window to our Universe. This workshop aims to provide participants with a broad understanding of gravitational wave physics and data analysis, equipping them with the expertise to engage with these exciting discoveries. A series of lecture sessions will introduce the fundamentals of gravitational-wave science, including general relativity, interferometric detectors, calibration, detector characterization, search methodologies, and parameter estimation. These will not only offer a know-how of the theoretical framework and computational techniques that drive gravitational-wave research but will also provide hands-on sessions, where participants will acquire practical skills in data analysis and instrumentation, enabling them to contribute effectively to current and future research. With LIGO-India poised to play a pivotal role in the global gravitational wave network, this workshop presents a valuable opportunity for participants to engage with experts in the field, gaining insights into the state-of-the-art technologies and research avenues it presents.
