The present day science is not confined in a particular box like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, etc., rather is combination of many models. For example, radiopharmaceutical chemistry depends on radioisotope production by particle accelerator or reactor, analytical chemistry to separate desired minuscule radioisotope from bulk target, organic and coordination chemistry to design the specific vector, deep knowledge of human physiology to target the vector for particular site and finally the physicians apply their knowledge in medical science to administer it in human body. Similarly, Spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques , combined with quantum chemical calculations and molecular dynamics simulations have emerged as important tools in studying behaviours of bio-active molecules. Therefore, CIP2026 aims to transcend traditional academic boundaries and foster holistic collaboration across interdisciplinary teams by bringing scientists from diverse fields on the same platform.
Diamond Harbour Women’s University was established in 2013, under West Bengal Act XXXVII of 2012, with the long-standing purpose of widening the scope of academic excellence for women from across the country. The university is situated in a rural area not far from the globally acclaimed world’s largest mangrove forest Sundarbans, the native place of Royal Bengal Tiger. The Diamond Harbour and the university is well connected by road and rail to the metropolis Kolkata. At present the University has several postgraduate and undergraduate teaching courses functioning in various disciplines of science and humanities, and is also thriving to be a center for dissemination of knowledge and advancement of modern research and technology through its Ph.D programs. The University hosts several seminars and conferences as part of its academic outreach, and also encourages co-curricular activities, all with the objective of providing more opportunities for women to seek new avenues of self-sufficiency.
