Description
For the efficient use of any instrument, it is essential to understand both its capabilities and its limitations. This hands-on session aims to deepen your understanding of the hardware characteristics of Imaging Atmospheric Cherenkov Telescopes used to observe very-high-energy (VHE) gamma rays.
You will be guided through the process of designing your own telescope, making decisions both on the scientific requirements and on their technical implementation. The different solutions proposed will be discussed collectively, allowing participants to share and compare the reasoning behind their choices.
This session will also provide insight into how such instruments are conceived and developed in practice.
