Aleksey showed detailed calculations for a resolution of a single point deposit of charge on a pixelated anode.
MVD would like it extended to include three further effects
- very high energy muon tracks have a lot of deltas and radiation around them. How does it add to "effective" transverse diffussion.
- Wenjie will produce large number of high energy tracks in LAR and make plots at milimeter scale.
- A track going across pixels will not look like point deposits of charge. A collection of signals from all pixels will need to be analyzed by software (in 2D deconvolution?) to reconstruct a track. Is this just software or are there hardware issues ?
- near the vertex of the events there will be multiple tracks. They will need to be disentangled by software from the collection of indued signals. How is this to be done ?
What are the DUNE ND pixel people doing ? They appear to have diverged from the DUNE LARSOFT team. Can we utilize some of their work ?
Sebastian explained the working groups for FPF
The working groups need the detector performance parameters. MVD suggests working on a spread sheet to provide a single set of parameters to
all working groups for FLARE.
