The new theory pipeline and intrinsic charm

In the first part of the talk I review the recent progress on providing 
theory predictions inside a PDF fit. I introduce the new framework in 
NNPDF for providing theory predictions, dubbed pineline. I briefly list 
and comment on all the necessary ingredients and their programs 
developed as Open Source codes.

In the second part of the talk, I discuss the first relevant application 
of the new pineline, the recently demonstrated evidence for intrinsic 
charm in the proton. I review the extraction of the intrinsic charm 
component and some of the tests that were carried out for this analysis.
