Description
Abstract:
The rather unexpected discovery some 40 years ago that black holes emit radiation changed our perception of their behavior since it means that some amount of information from its interior eventually returns to the Universe outside the black hole. Questions then arise about the fate of the information that goes down the black hole during its lifetime and the possible violation of unitarity during the formation/evaporation process of black holes.
After a brief review of ideas proposed so far regarding the so called information paradox, a recent work of mine concerning the subject will be presented as a basis for further discussion and research.
