At nanoscale, matter behaves differently, depending sensitively on the size and shape. The contribution of nanoscience and technology is in every conceivable field: Agriculture, Industries, Technology, Electronics, Communications, Healthcare, Space explorations, Energy, Material Sciences, and Environment, to name a few.
To showcase the current knowledge in nanoscience and technology, and to disseminate information about Bengaluru India Nano, Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS) is organizing in different parts of the country Nano Jathas - special events comprising lectures by expert scientists in the field, video shows, interactive sessions with the audience and exhibition that has several live demonstrations illustrating the topic.
In this regard, the Department of Physics, Central University of Karnataka will host an event on 21 June 2024 targeting young high school and college students to create awareness in the field of nanoscience and nano technology.
Eligibility: 12th/PUC/B.Sc/M.Sc Students nominated by the respective principal or head of the institution. Nomination form can be downloaded from this link: Click here. Selected students will be informed by email on or before 17 June 2024.
Lunch and snacks will be provided to all selected participants. Students have to make their own travel arrangements to reach CUK.
