On colour flows

Colour flows are quantities that emerge naturally in the context
of computations performed in an SU(N) non-abelian theory. In QCD,
they are one of the fundamental ingredients of parton shower Monte
Carlos. I shall present some recent results that apply to both
matrix element calculations and to Monte Carlos, that hopefully
pave the way for the inclusion of subleading colour effects
which originate from the former into the latter.
