DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Martin Grossmann PSI (Paul Scherrer Institut)\n\nWe
have the pleasure to announce the IEEE NPSS Prague EduCom International Su
mmer School (PEISS) 2025 that will be held at the Institute of Experimenta
l and Applied Physics\, Czech Technical University in Prague\, Czech Repub
lic from June 30th to July 11th\, 2025.\nIt will draw on our extensive exp
erience from past IEEE NPSS instrumentation schools held in Japan (2014)\,
  Vietnam (2016)\, South Africa (2018)\, Malaysia (2019)\, Senegal (2022) a
nd Morocco (2024). These summer schools aim to familiarize students with r
 eal-world applications\, their specificities\, and constraints.\nThe propo
sed activity aligns with the NPSS Mission Statement: “To provide opportu
nities for scientific exchange and career development and to promote a div
erse and inclusive community of nuclear and plasma scientists and engineer
s.” With its high-quality course program delivered by experienced lectur
ers\, it will contribute to the education of students (both undergraduate
and postgraduate) and the training of young researchers in the field of nu
clear instrumentation and radiation measurement. Participants will also be
nefit from the Summer School by developing or expanding their professional
network\, particularly through encouragement to become active NPSS member
s.\nThis edition of the IEEE NPSS Summer School will run for eight full da
ys of intensive learning\, covering key topics related to nuclear radiatio
 n instrumentation\, measurements\, data analysis\, statistics\, AI\, and t
heir applications in fundamental sciences and nuclear medical sciences. Ad
ditionally\, one full day is dedicated to a scientific excursion\, and ano
ther one to cultural and touristic visits.\n\nThe main objectives of the s
chool are:\n\nTo train students in the field of radiation detectors and th
eir applications.\nTo support the development of nuclear sciences in Centr
al European countries.\nTo promote the participation of young scientists a
nd local mentors in radiation measurements and related fields.\nTo provide
students with hands-on experience in various measurements and offer them
the opportunity to present their results.\n\n\nThe number of students is
limited to 32. Registration is open on the school website\, where applican
ts must complete a form before the final selection. The school is open to
all university students and students from engineering schools (Bachelor’
 s\, Master’s\, PhD\, and Medical Physics programs).\nFor accepted studen
ts the participation in the school is free.\n\nhttps://indico.global/event
