Description
Hyperon-antihyperon pairs are produced at electron--positron colliders in a spin-entangled state. I compare nonleptonic and semileptonic hyperon decays, and the weight of the spin-correlation and polarization features in extracting the uncertainties for some relevant observables.
For semileptonic decays, the spin-correlation terms can be used to gain insight on the internal structure of composite particles. The density matrix describing semileptonic decays of spin-entangled pairs is derived and employed to obtain the statistical uncertainties on the semileptonic form-factor parameters.
Spin-entanglement in nonleptonic hyperon decays allows for a direct comparison of particle--antiparticle properties in the context of CP violation testing. I present a feasibility study of CPV tests on pairs produced with a longitudinally polarized beam of electron at next-generation $J/\psi$ factories. "
