Description
Exotic Long-Lived Particles (LLPs) provide and excellent search vector for BSM physics, and in recent years many dedicated experiments have been proposed to extend the programme of existing collider experiments. The ANUBIS experiment was proposed to be a displaced, transverse detector based in the ATLAS Experimental Cavern at CERN, providing unique opportunities by interfacing directly with ATLAS and excellent sensitivity to a range of BSM models. This seminar outlines the case for the ANUBIS experiment, its sensitivity, and reports on ongoing data analysis from a prototype detector, proANUBIS, that has been taking data since April 2024.
