DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Shaoping Li (OAW\, Vienna)\n\nAbstract: The low-scal
 e type-I seesaw is a well-motivated framework in which sterile neutrinos g
enerate the Standard-Model neutrino masses\, can account for the matter-an
timatter asymmetry and dark matter\, and may be probed at colliders. Two m
echanisms have long dominated low-scale leptogenesis: resonant leptogenesi
s (RL)\, where the asymmetry is enhanced by near-degenerate sterile-neutri
no masses\, and leptogenesis via sterile-neutrino oscillations (ARS). In t
his talk\, I present a third mechanism\, thermally induced resonant leptog
enesis (TIRL)\, in which finite-temperature effects of the SM leptons beco
me important. I will explain how TIRL works and how it differs from RL and
ARS\, including the mass degeneracy of sterile neutrinos and resonance fr
 om thermally resummed leptons.\n\nhttps://indico.global/event/19107/
