DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Mikhail Mikhasenko (Ruhr Univeristy Bochum)\, Adam S
zczepaniak (Indiana University)\, Feng-Kun Guo (Insitute of Theoretical Ph
ysics\, Chinese Academy of Sciences)\, Laura Tolos\n\nThis initiative aims
at securing a slot for Hadron Physics at MIAPbP Programme in 2028\, \nNo
tes:- participants are financially supported for their stay in Munich for
the time of the program.- the indico “register” button is used to coll
ect replies [as alternative to email replies] and form a list of people wh
o are potentially interested. It is not registration for the workshop.- th
e support message does not have to be long\, “I would like to support\,
The initiative is useful because…"\n \n \n"AI for Hadron Physics"\nHow
might AI transform hadron physics if we invested in it at scale? It will e
ventually become possible to turn thousands of electronic minds towards QC
 D. What questions should we ask them?\nQCD spans many regimes: short and l
ong distances\, light and heavy quarks\, and the spectra\, structure and r
eactions of hadrons. Experiments probe these regimes through different set
ups\, environments and production mechanisms. Theory approaches them throu
gh different computational techniques and effective descriptions: lattice
QCD\, effective field theories\, perturbative calculations and phenomenolo
gical models. Each approach captures part of the physics\, while the conne
ctions between them remain incomplete. Could AI help connect these approac
hes\, translate between frameworks\, or reveal and unify dual descriptions
? Might there be a common computational fabric for QCD\, and what form cou
ld it take?\nWe propose a four-week MIAPbP programme around these two ques
tions: which problems in QCD are worthy of large-scale AI effort\, and whe
ther AI can help us connect its theories\, methods and data across regimes
. The programme will bring theorists\, experimentalists and AI researchers
together to test this possibility\, determine what physical constraints a
nd standards of validation it would require\, and formulate research chall
enges and a roadmap for a shared human--AI effort.\nMIAPbP programme overv
iew:\n\nEach program lasts four weeks\nA minimum stay of two weeks is r
equired\nApprox. 60-70 participants per program (45 at any given time)\n
Typically 1-2 seminars/day or perhaps only a few per week \nPlenty of
time for collaborative work\nSocial events to promote networking and coll
aborations\n\n \nPlease read the "REGISTER" button as expression of inter
est\, not commitment is attached to it.\n\nhttps://indico.global/event/190
