65427\nIn this seminar\, we will review path integrals in Jackiw-Teitelboi
m (JT) gravity using methods from hyperbolic geometry. JT gravity is a two
-dimensional gravitational theory in which a scalar field called the dilat
on is coupled to gravity. When the cosmological constant is negative\, int
egrating over the dilaton fixes the bulk curvature to a negative constant\
, resulting in hyperbolic geometry in the bulk. Due to this property\, the
path integral for gravity reduces to an integral over the moduli space of
a hyperbolic surface and can be explicitly calculated using the Weil-Pete
rsson volume and the Mirzakhani recursion. Furthermore\, the boundary degr
ees of freedom are described by the Schwarzian action\, and their partitio
n function can also be evaluated exactly. If time permits\, I will briefly
introduce the Saad-Shenker-Stanford (SSS) correspondence\, which relates
these results to the random matrix model.\n\nhttps://indico.global/event/1
