First edition of the gathering event for people working in lattice gauge theories across Switzerland.

The primary objective of the Swiss Lattice Meeting is to strengthen scientific exchange and collaboration among lattice gauge theory groups based in Switzerland, in particular those affiliated with CERN, the University of Bern, and ETH Zürich. The meeting aims to provide a regular platform where researchers can present ongoing work, discuss recent developments, and identify opportunities for collaboration.

A key goal is to support early-career researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows, by offering them visibility, feedback, and networking opportunities within the Swiss lattice groups. By fostering interactions across institutions and career stages, the meeting contributes to building a cohesive and dynamic research environment.

The event also seeks to enhance communication between different subfields of lattice gauge theory, such as QCD, BSM physics, and algorithmic developments, encouraging cross-fertilization of ideas. In the longer term, this initiative aims to reinforce Switzerland’s role in the international lattice community and promote coordinated participation in large-scale projects and collaborations.
