 borator) (UFPel)\n\n\nOur understanding of the origin of the Universe\, of
  its evolution and the physical laws that govern its behavior\, as well as
  on the different states of matter that make up its evolutionary stage\, r
 eached in recent years levels never before imagined. This is due mainly to
  the new and recent discoveries in astronomy and relativistic astrophysics
  as well as to experiments on particle and nuclear physics that made the t
 raditional boundaries of knowledge on physics to be overcome. As a result 
 we have presently a new understanding about the Universe in its two extrem
 e domains\, the very large and the very small: the recognition of the deep
  connections that exist between quarks and the cosmos.\nThe workshop activ
 ities will focus on an educational program based on lectures\, formal and
  informal discussions aimed at introducing participants in general and stu
 dents in particular to new trends in theoretical and experimental research
  in the world.\nThe name of the workshop is represented by the acronym MAG
 IC: Matter\, Astrophysics\, Gravitation\, Ions\, and Cosmology. The event 
 intends to emphasize scientific themes that represent potential topics for
  local academic scientific development in the lines of research covered by
  former events of the series:\n\nMAGIC 23\nMAGIC 25\n\n \nBased on the un
 derstanding of the intimate relationship between quarks and cosmos\, the M
 AGIC meeting is focused on the following related topics:\nTopics:\n\nNew p
 henomena and new states of matter in the Universe\nGeneral relativity\, gr
 avitation\, modified gravity theories and cosmology\nWhite dwarfs\, neutro
 n stars\, pulsars and black holes\nGamma-ray emission in the Universe\, hi
 gh energy cosmic rays and gravitational waves\nStrong magnetic fields in c
 ompact stars and in galaxies\nUltra-strong magnetic fields in neutron star
  mergers\nStrange matter\, strange stars\, quark stars and magnetars\nStro
 ng magnetic fields and the cosmic microwave background\nDark matter and da
 rk energy\nAntimatter in the Universe\, strong magnetic fields in the Univ
 erse\nHeavy ion collisions and the formation of the quark-gluon plasma\nHi
 gh energy particle physics and astroparticles (theory and experiment)\n\n
