DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Ryan Daniel Plestid (CERN)\n\nIf you have ever studi
ed non-relativistic scattering theory\, you know the Coulomb potential is
tricky. In this talk I will explain how to lift lessons from the NR-limit
to general quantum field theories that include a 1/r potential at long dis
tances. These long-range effects violated basic assumptions of standard sc
attering theory but can be "fixed up" and have a nice EFT interpretation.\
