 is tutorial provides students with an essential introduction to kilonovae.
  After a brief overview of observational highlights\, I will introduce the
  theoretical foundations of the kilonova phenomenon. I will then survey th
 e main modelling frameworks currently in use\, progressing from simpler to
  more sophisticated approaches. The tutorial concludes with a hands-on com
 ponent\, where students will work directly with a simple kilonova model an
 d explore how the physical parameters shape the lightcurve. There will be 
 a lunch break from 12 to 14.\nLink to the code for the tutorial\n \n\nFun
