From direct to indirect searches for new physics in beauty decays
In this seminar, I present a direct search for long-lived heavy neutrinos produced in beauty-meson decays at CMS, using the 2018 b-hadron-enriched dataset. The resulting limits improve existing constraints by up to a factor of two, depending on the mass range. I then discuss an indirect search for new physics via a precision time-dependent measurement of CP violation in Bs->phiphi decays with Run 3 CMS data. Finally, I outline ongoing work on the development of a chromatic calorimeter using nanomaterials for future experiments at FCC-ee.
