DESCRIPTION:Speaker: Chiara Anna Montecuollo (UNINA)\nTitle: Probing Modif
ied Gravity and Cosmology through Gravitational Waves\nAbstract: The persi
stent discrepancy between current estimations of the Hubble constant remai
ns one of the most intriguing open questions in modern cosmology. A compel
ling explanation for this tension could lie in a cosmological evolution of
gravity itself\, implying deviations from General Relativity on large sca
les. This scenario can be independently probed through gravitational waves
emitted during Binary Neutron Star mergers: the multi-messenger nature of
these events provides the perfect framework for a joint Bayesian inferenc
e\, allowing us to simultaneously constrain modified gravity effects and t
he Hubble constant.\nZoom link: click here\n\nhttps://indico.global/event
