 r provides a brief introduction to the Standard Model Effective Field Theo
 ry (SMEFT) as a framework for parameterising heavy new-physics effects. Af
 ter reviewing the basic assumptions underlying SMEFT and its role in colli
 der phenomenology\, I will discuss selected topics in higher-order and hig
 her-dimensional effects. In particular\, I will address the impact of reno
 rmalisation-group evolution\, electroweak Sudakov logarithms\, and dimensi
 on-8 contributions–highlighting their interplay with the leading dimensi
 on-6 description– and their importance for robust SMEFT predictions.\n\n
