UNAL & IEEE-NPSS School of Medical Physics and Emerging Technologies

America/Bogota
Description

The UNAL & IEEE-NPSS School of Medical Physics and Emerging Technologies will cover the application of nuclear  instrumentation and technology in energy and medicine. It will be held at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia in Bogotá October 13-16, 2026.

The program will include:

  • Particle accelerators & applications in medicine
  • Radiation detectors & medical imaging
  • Internal and external dosimetry
  • AI in therapy and diagnosis
  • Theragnostics

The program will consist of a series of lectures (some in-person, some online) and practical exercises with radiation measurements.  Please see the timetable for more details. Some lectures will be in English, some lectures will be in Spanish.

The school is open to students (master and PhD) from science and engineering. The number of participants is limited. You will need to apply by registering on this website.

Please apply using the link below ("Apply Now"). Deadline for applications is August 31, 2026

Participation in the school is free of charge. We have some funds available to support travel for participants from outside Bogotá. You can apply for support during your application.
