DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Alessandro Scarabotto (TU Dortmund)\n\nAbstract:\nTr
igger systems are one of the crucial aspects in high energy particle physi
cs experiments allowing data taking with extremely high input data rates.
The LHCb experiment at CERN must cope with the 30 million proton-proton bu
nches collision per second of the LHC\, corresponding to about 4 TB of inp
ut data per second. The seminar will explain how data is processed and fil
tered real-time by the LHCb full-software trigger system. In particular\,
it will focus on its first stage optimised for high throughput\, exploitin
 g GPUs.\n\nhttps://indico.global/event/17680/
