DESCRIPTION:UK DRD3 Instrumentation Summer School 2026\nWelcome to the sec
 ond UK DRD3 Instrumentation Summer School! The school will be held over tw
 o weeks in August 2026 (10th - 21st) at Lady Margaret Hall\, the Universit
 y of Oxford\nThe school serves as a follow-on to the Advanced UK Instrumen
 tation Training programme\, and will feature two weeks of tutorials and ha
 nds-on exercises covering:\n\nDevice simulation in TCAD\nElectronics desig
 n and simulation\nElectrical characterisation of silicon detectors\nRadiat
 ion detection with silicon detectors\n\nParticipants will step through the
  life cycle of PiN and LGAD sensors\, from simulations of their fabricatio
 n and expected electrical response\, to the design and characterisation of
  their readout electronics\, to measurements in the lab of their performan
 ce\nEvening activities are also planned\, including talks by industrial pa
 rtners on career opportunities outside of academia\, distinguished academi
 cs on navigating a path through academia\, and tips on engaging the broade
 r public about fundamental research\nApplication deadline: May 29\, 13:00
  BST\nRegistration fee: £1950. This covers the cost of accommodation and 
 food during the school\, along with social events and coffee breaks. It is
  anticipated to accept a maximum of 24 participants\nScholarships: A few p
 laces are expected to be funded from external sources to enable the partic
 ipation of outstanding applicants\, particularly from groups who would oth
 erwise be unable to provide support. Those awarded a scholarship will not 
 need to pay the registration fee\, and will be notified in advance\n\nhttp
