  Kingdom))\n\nThe advent of quantum hardware has motivated renewed efforts
  to rediscover and deepen our understanding of lattice gauge theory from a
  Hamiltonian perspective. In this talk\, we discuss key challenges to scal
 ability and explore how alternative Hamiltonian formulations\, such as the
  orbifold lattice\, may help address them. Preliminary Monte Carlo simulat
 ions show that the orbifold lattice reproduces the Kogut–Susskind formul
