  the Standard Model. I will give a brief overview of how combining experim
 ent with atomic theory enables sensitive searches for new physics\, includ
 ing tests of fundamental symmetries\, electroweak interactions\, and light
  dark sector candidates. I will focus in particular on scattering in atomi
 c systems as a tool for accessing neutrino interactions and searching for
