DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Felix Spanier\, Christian Sendlinger\n\n\nParticle-M
esh methods are one of the many possible approaches to model a system of m
any particles interacting with each other. The most prominent example is t
he so-called Particle-in-Cell method (PiC).\nPiC is a versatile and extrem
ely easy to implement kinetic method\, which is the main factor behind its
popularity. The relatively low computational cost is the next point makin
g PiC such a common choice.\nIn this workshop PiC approaches and their imp
lementation in an HPC context are discussed. The main focus is therefore o
n the simulation of extremely large systems.\nTopics include but are not l
imited to:\n\nBasic concepts of different PiC approaches\nCurrent depositi
 on schemes\nField solvers\nParticle movers\nParallelization strategies\nI/
 O strategies\n\nOrganization: Organized by the NHR@SW.\n\n\nhttps://indic
