Description

STEM Weekend 2026 is a two-day professional development and recruitment experience hosted by the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and 11 STEM organizations across Hampton University.

Dates: April 10–11, 2026

Our mission is to educate, engage, and elevate Hampton STEM students through hands-on learning, career exploration, and direct industry connections.

Key Outcomes:

  • 500+ student participants across 20 STEM disciplines
  • 12+ sponsoring companies expected
  • High-impact engagement through workshops, panels, challenges, and networking
  • Meaningful talent pipelines for internships, co-ops, and early career hiring

Why STEM Weekend Matters:

Unlike a traditional career fair, STEM Weekend gives companies multi-touch, relationship-driven access to Hampton’s top STEM talent. Over two days, sponsors engage with students through interactive sessions, problem-solving challenges, and mentorship-focused events—creating stronger connections and more effective recruiting outcomes. STEM Weekend showcases the strength of Hampton’s STEM community and creates a direct bridge between industry partners and the next generation of diverse STEM leaders.
