DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Adrian Oeftiger (University of Oxford)\, Shinji Mach
ida\n\nThe Space Charge 2026 workshop is held from 30 September to 2 Octob
er 2026 at the University of Oxford in the Physics Department and at Trini
ty College\, hosted jointly by the John Adams Institute and the ISIS Neut
ron and Muon Source. As an exclusively in-person event\, this three-day wo
rkshop addresses the fundamental challenges that define the high-intensity
frontier of accelerator physics. \nBuilding on the momentum of major fac
ility upgrades and achievements -- including SNS\, J-PARC\, CERN LIU\, and
CSNS -- and following earlier successful editions around the world at CER
 N (CH\, 2013)\, Oxford (UK\, 2015)\, Darmstadt (DE\, 2017)\, CERN (CH\, 20
 19)\, Knoxville (US\, 2022)\, and Dongguan (PRC\, 2024)\, this 7th ICFA mi
ni-workshop on space charge comes at a decisive moment. The focus is on di
stilling lessons learned\, consolidating strategies\, and quantifying thei
r impact to increase the space charge limit with excellent control of beam
loss. \nWith the next generation of high-intensity and high-power accele
rator facilities on the horizon\, Space Charge 2026 aims to provide the co
mmunity with a clear synthesis of current understanding and a roadmap for
future studies. \nRegistration opens on Tuesday afternoon 29 September at
5pm in the Denys Wilkinson Building. The banquet will take place at Trini
ty College on Thursday evening\, 1 October. \nWe look forward to welcomin
 g you in Oxford.\nAdrian and Shinji\n\n \n           \n \nPrivacy n
