Description
Quantum technologies are opening new frontiers in fundamental physics. The UK’s Quantum Technologies for Fundamental Physics (QTFP) programme explores how quantum sensing can enable ultra-precise measurements of nature’s most elusive quantities. In this seminar, I will introduce the QTFP initiative and focus on the Quantum Technologies for Neutrino Mass (QTNM) project, which aims to measure the absolute neutrino mass using advanced quantum sensors and cyclotron radiation emission spectroscopy. I will summarise QTNM’s current status, key technical developments, and future plans.
