Description

Starting from the first hints of its existence, this tinniest particle of the standard model has kept the scientific community puzzled for almost seven decades. Slowing unravelling the mystery of its own nature and the clues to the nature of the Universe. A journey of confrontation of theory by the experiments and vice versa, that brings out the beauty of nature of physics and scientific inquiry.

This talk will give a gllimpse off this journey and pivotal role played by one of the experiment in Japan, in confirming the Oscillation of Neutrino and measure it's parameters to utmost precision.

The speaker Dr. Asmita Redit, has worked previously for the India-based Neutrino Observatory and later for the T2K experiment at Japan. She received her PhD from the University of Bern.
