1 Microdosing Microdosimetry: HEP Instrumentation in Ion Therapy

Cancer therapy using charged particles is a field of increasing interest. Accurate treatment planning relies on precise energy measurements, where microdosimetry provides insights beyond traditional dosimetry. This talk introduces some core concepts of ion therapy, treatment planning, and microdosimetry, and explores their synergy with high-energy physics instrumentation.
