Description

Scientific program:

DarkMap will be a conference in Budapest about various topics in theoretical and observational cosmology, focusing on the physics of dark matter and dark energy. We will bring together early-career scientists and senior researchers and discuss how the state-of-the-art cosmic maps can be used to learn about cosmic history.

During the conference, we will hear about novel methods that go beyond standard correlation function analyses, and we will also cover the latest simulation efforts to model standard as well as non-standard cosmological models.

Confirmed speakers:

  • Zoltán Haiman (IST Austria)
  • Gabrijela Zaharijas (University of Nova Gorica)
  • John Peacock (University of Edinburgh)
  • Luigi Guzzo (Milan University)
  • Marika Asgari (Newcastle University)
  • Ofer Lahav (University College London)
  • István Szapudi (University of Hawaii)
  • Oliver Hahn (University of Vienna)
  • Alexander S. Szalay (Johns Hopkins University)

Registration details:

  • There is no registration fee for the meeting (including coffee breaks, lunches, and a conference dinner) courtesy of funding from Hungarian Mecenatúra Programme, under project MEC_SZ 149132.
  • The maximum capacity is approximately 50 participants.
  • The registration deadline for the conference is July 1st.
  • Selected speakers will be notified by the 15th of July at the latest
