ARTIQ training for AION
1004
Blackett Laboratory
A short workshop / training course for ARTIQ users in AION.
Last year we ran a training course for the ARTIQ quantum control system, targeted for our new PhD students in AION, but with some external friends of AION also coming along by invitation.
This year it's running again here at Imperial, from the 31st March to the 2nd April. The scope will be very similar to last year, in that:
- I'll assume you know some python
- I'll assume you know nothing about ARTIQ
- We'll go through exercises that involve programming a physical ARTIQ system, learning to output and input control signals
-
This year, I'll add some exercises to keep the more advanced attendees covered. The course will remain beginner-friendly, however
Requirements from you:
- A laptop
- Ideally with linux installed
- If not possible, with Windows running Ubuntu in WSL
- …or Mac with Ubuntu installed in a virtual machine
- A beginner's understanding of git - the first few lessons in https://learngitbranching.js.org/ will be plenty
- An account at GitLab.com
If you would like to come along, please register below. If you'd like to invite someone not on this email list, please ask me first since we have limited places.
Attendance at the course will be free, however we might run a (optional) conference dinner and I may offer the option to pay in advance if that's helpful to people. T.b.c.
Looking forward to seeing you in Imperial!
