DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Cullan Howlett (Senior Research Fellow in Cosmology)
\, Abbe Whitford\, Rianna Bell\, Khaled Said (Research Fellow)\n\nJoin us
for the next instalment in the prestigious Cosmic Flows conference series\
, to be held from February 3-7\, 2025\, all-inclusive at the picturesque T
amborine Mountain Glades (formerly Cedar Creek Lodges) on Tamborine Mounta
 in\, Brisbane\, Australia.\nAbout the Conference\nCosmic Flows 2025 contin
ues a two-decade tradition of international gatherings dedicated to the st
udy of cosmic flows. Following successful events in Queensland (2012)\, Ma
rseille (2013)\, Quy Nhon (2016)\, and Cape Town (2020)\, this conference
arrives at a pivotal moment in the field of peculiar velocity research.\nI
n the five years since our last meeting\, we've witnessed a paradigm shift
in peculiar velocity studies. What began as the analysis of a few thousan
d velocities has evolved into preparation for surveys of unprecedented sca
le. With SDSS and CF4 data published\, WALLABY's initial findings released
\, DESI poised to unveil groundbreaking data\, and the 4HS main survey und
erway\, Cosmic Flows 2025 provides a timely platform to discuss these exci
ting developments. \nConference Highlights\n\n\nCutting-Edge Research: En
gage in discussions on recent and upcoming direct peculiar velocity result
 s\, reconstructions\, simulations\, cosmological applications\, and theori
es.\n\n\nCollaborative Environment: Our unique venue at Cedar Creek Lodge
s includes all accomodation\, meals and social activities\, ensuring all p
articipants stay together\, fostering collaboration and increasing interac
tions.\n\n\nDaily Panel Discussions: Each day will included a themed pane
l discussion\, tackling some of the biggest questions facing cosmology tod
ay with our expert panels.\n\n\nTeam Building: Daily 3-hour breaks for te
am building activities chosen by the participants\, as well a half-day exc
ursion surrounded by some of Australia's best landscape.\n\n\nKey Topics\n
The conference will bring together experts from all pillars of peculiar ve
locity science\, including:\n\nDirect measurements of peculiar velocities
through distance indicators.\nDensity and velocity field reconstructions.\
 nSimulations and theoretical modelling.\nCosmological applications.\n\nVen
ue\nTamborine Mountain Glades provides a serene and inspiring backdrop for
our discussions. We have secured an excellent all-inclusive rate for this
venue which includes accomodation\, meals and transport to/from the venue
to nearby rails links. This unique setting encourages informal interactio
ns and collaborative thinking\, which is essential for pushing the boundar
ies of our field.\nInvited Speakers\n\nJulian Bautista (Aix Marseille Univ
