Bayesian Inference for New Physics at the LHC

In this talk, I will explain how we reinterpret results from the LHC to get theoretical constraints for a wide range of BSM models. Further, I will give a short overview of the role and use of Bayesian statistics in our current work to explore new physics at the LHC.

Solid State Detector Development at Nikolsdorfer Gasse

A short introduction on semiconductor detectors will be given, together with an overview of the detector development group at HEPHY. Additionally, the applications of detectors developed at HEPHY in high-energy and medical physics are presented, together with ongoing research for future experiments.
